The March concert of the Third Thursdays with Eastman’s Italian Baroque Organ at the Memorial Art Gallery concert series will feature a program of works by Johann Sebastian Bach for unaccompanied cello, solo organ, and viola da gamba with harpsichord. Featured guest artist Kenneth Slowik is the Artistic Director of the Smithsonian Chamber Music Society, and he will perform on the cello and viola da gamba – a popular early stringed instrument. He will be joined on organ and harpsichord by William Porter, part-time Professor of Organ at the Eastman School of Music.
