PUNK | Murder Junkies

Murder Junkies are the remnants of G.G. Allin and the Murder Junkies, the most chaotic and vulgar counter attack on rock music's waning libido ever. His mother named him Jesus Christ, which was soon after shortened to G.G. Covered in blood and shit (not always his own) and raging with an utter disdain for anything and everything around him, Allin's mission was to destroy rock 'n' roll, promising to kill himself on stage when his mission was completed. He never got the opportunity to off himself on stage — Allin died of a heroin overdose in 1993. Today, the Murder Junkies, led by Allin's older brother, Merle, pick up where G.G. Allin left off, with an emphasis on the band's ragged punk rock and not so much with the bodily fluids. Bring napkins or wear a raincoat just in case.

Murder Junkies plays with Governess, Wyatt Coin, American Terrorist, and Phantasmagoria on Friday, June 29, at Photo City Improv, 543 Atlantic Avenue. 7:30 p.m. $15-$17. facebook.com/photocityimprovcomedyclub.
