PUNK/THRASH | D.R.I. 

Along with bands like Suicidal Tendencies and Corrosion of Conformity, D.R.I. (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) helped usher in thrash elements to the hardcore scene. Formed on May 2, 1982, around 4 p.m., according to the band's website, D.R.I. has released seven albums, steadily shifting from hardcore punk to thrash, earning it the title the fastest band in the world. Abdicate, Bleed The Messiah, and Pipe also perform.
