RECREATION | Star Party

Take just a little jaunt outside of the city and you can shirk the light pollution and see much more of the evening sky. Not sure what you're looking at? This weekend Cumming Nature Center will host a family-friendly after-hours Star Party event, which will help novice sky-gazers identify stars, constellations, and galaxies. Participants are encouraged to pack a picnic dinner and bring a blanket (and in the case of obscured skies, bring a board game or cards).

The Star Party is scheduled for Saturday, March 10, 5 to 10 p.m., at Cumming Nature Center, 6472 Gulick Road, Naples. $3, $10 for families, free to RMSC members. 374-6160; rmsc.org.
