Re: “Another big plan unveiled to fix the city's schools

I believe that DIGNITY should be the guiding principle for every action in the Rochester City School District. Dignity Coordinators should be drawing inspiration from the 200th anniversary of Frederick Douglass's chosen birthday to educate our children about DIGNITY. With the school district's new code of conduct in place, the district needs to double down on the Dignity for All Students Act and provide the Dignity Training for all teachers the law requires. As Frederick Douglass once wrote, "It is easier to build strong children than repair broken men."

Re: “Conduct discussion in RCSD brings out deep-rooted issues

Dignity needs to be taught to teachers, parents, and students alike.
Within the new code of conduct is a provision to train teachers in the Dignity for All Students Act.
I believe the RCSD would be wise to bring Rosalind Wiseman to town to address how the use the concept of Dignity instead of respect.

Re: “[UPDATED] Week Ahead: Events for the week of Monday, April 4

I believe Hillary can govern the United States. Yes, she has to do more to earn the respect of the voters, but given a chance, I believe she will. All the candidates need to do more to promote Dignity in the political discourse that will determine our future as a nation.

Re: “Could Scalia’s death offer a chance for healing?

In other words, both sides of the political spectrum need to treat each other with Dignity.

Re: “A path out of poverty

While I too noticed no mention of education, I thought that this report was trying to zero in on a path out of poverty; to take on the failure of the city school system would have relegated this report to being just another report.
What all these issues DO have in common is the need to #CreateACultureofDignity
