ROCK | CJ Ramone

CJ Ramone has had an impressive career, performing with acts like Los Gusanos, 22 Jacks, Bad Chopper, and most notably, The Ramones. Although not an original member of the legendary NYC punk outfit, he breathed new life into the band from 1989 until The Ramones' break up in 1996. His new project continues the tradition of anthem hooks and in your face rock, oozing with crunchy power chords. CJ Ramone expands on tradition while keeping it fresh. He has had his hand in a lot of music in the last 30 years, and this new project showcases his affinity for writing catchy, roaring music.

CJ Ramone performs Wednesday, May 14, at Montage Music Hall, 50 Chestnut Street. 7 p.m. $10.;
