ROCK | Heart

Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson — the core of the band Heart — have been heralded as two of the most legendary female performers in rock history. But that's only partially accurate. The fact is, the Wilsons are two of the most legendary performers in rock history regardless of their gender. Heart first broke out in the 1970's with searing tracks like "Barracuda," "Crazy On You," and "Magic Man." The band had an impressive second act in the late 80's with a string of pop-rock hits, including "What About Love," "Never," "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You," and "These Dreams." The one-two punch of Nancy's roaring guitar work and Ann's golden pipes is impossible to deny. Just try not to sing along when they take on "Alone." (But please, let Ann handle the high notes.)

Heart performs Thursday, April 3, 7:30 p.m. at the Auditorium Theatre, 885 E. Main St. $60.60-$130.
