ROCK 'N' ROLL | Tigerman WOAH

The members of the self-described "Northshore livin', brown liquor drinkin', woah-singin', and good -rotten," band Tigerman WOAH are brassy, debaucherous rock 'n' rollers from Lynn, Massachusetts. The band combines an Appalachian bluegrass style — using banjo-ukulele, guitar, percussion, and upright bass — with raspy lead vocals, aggressive strings, and mischievous sing-alongs for a sound that would have been heard in an old Western saloon for outlaws and gypsies. These beer-soaked, bearded dudes don't just know how to have a good time, they're advocates for accessible music for everybody to build communities and friendships — Tigerman WOAH often plays free shows in the Boston area, believing music should be for the love it and not just about the money.

Tigerman WOAH performs Wednesday, June 14, at Abilene Bar and Lounge, 153 Liberty Pole Way. 8:30 p.m. $7.;
