Under the baton of RPO trumpeter and guest conductor, Paul Shewan, the evening’s repertoire will feature several pieces that fall under the descriptor of “program music.” Examples of the genre to be heard at Brockport include Saint-Saëns’ “Danse Macabre”; Dukas’ “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” which was notably featured in Disney’s Fantasia; Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King”; and Dvořák’s “The Noon Witch.”
