Cynthia Howk, Architectural Research Coordinator at the Landmark Society of Western New York, will present the story of revitalization in the South Wedge / Swillburg / Highland neighborhoods. She will give a brief review of their histories, then focus on the exciting re-discovery of this area, beginning in the 1970s, when the new name "South Wedge" was coined. Examples of revitalization include residential, commercial, religious & educational buildings, as well as open space/park sites.
