SPECIAL EVENT | Skate with Santa

Santa is really a strange character. Just think about it: he drops down through chimneys to leave people gifts for no apparent reason, asking for nothing in return, except maybe a plate of cookies. Why does he do it?

I don't have the answers for you, but you can question the bearded guy in the red suit yourself at the Skate with Santa event being held at the Genesee Valley Sports Complex (131 Elmwood Ave.) this Saturday, December 21, at 5 p.m.

Bring the family out for some ice-skating fun, have the kids meet Santa, and then confront him about why he brought you a Nintendo 64 back in '96 when you clearly wrote Playstation on your list. Man, I really have to let that one go. Prices range from $2 to $14, and rental skates are available for $3. Call 428-7888 or visit cityofrochester.gov for more information.
