The City Seen September 17-20

Notes from the weekend

Really, this weekend started on Thursday when newly minted celebrity Madeline Stuart, the first recognized model with down syndrome, walked the runway for EverMaya at its "Celebrating Beauty" fashion show at Midtown Athletics. Stuart was joined by several other special needs models from School of the Holy Childhood to debut EverMaya's new limited edition handbag, "The Madeline."

City also stopped at the NOTA Fall Equinox Fair hosted by Nu Movement Cooperative Studio and Gallery at ARTISANworks on Sunday afternoon. In addition to several dance performances and a aerial arts display, there were a variety of vendors from Full Cycle Soap, an all natural glycerin soap up-cycled from used vegetable oil, and artists like Philip Rose who displayed his handcrafted woodworking made from rescued wood.
