Mountains and their neighboring areas throughout the United States are experiencing an unprecedented shift in hydroclimate, representing the interplay between rising temperatures and the availability of water in lakes and streams. The presentation will overview the historical trends in snow thickness and duration in the Adirondacks and other mountains, with an emphasis on the links to long- and short-term changes in climate.
