THEATER | "Motown" 

"Motown: the Musical" tells the story of the rise of the Motown label, the start of the iconic careers of some its artists — including Diana, Smokey, and Stevie —and how the label's music shaped a generation. Directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, the musical follows the story of Motown's founder, Berry Gordy, and his journey into the music scene and the careers he launched.

"Motown: the Musical" runs from Tuesday, November 10, through Saturday, November 15, at RBTL's Auditorium Theatre, 885 East Main Street. 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 8 p.m. on Friday; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday; and 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. $32.50-$82.50.
