THEATER | 'There's Always Time for a Cocktail'

Beloved Rochester drag performer, "RuPaul's Drag Race" alum, and "celebrity housewife" Mrs. Kasha Davis (Ed Popil) will this week perform her original one-man/woman autobiographical play, "There's Always Time for a Cocktail." Filled with music, anecdotes, and party games, the play tells the story of Popil's youth in Scranton, Pennsylvania, through the journey of self-acceptance, to the present day. Directed by Ralph Meranto and featuring Edward Rubenacker on piano, the show launches on the local stage this week before hitting the road for a tour of Northeast cities.

"There's Always Time for a Cocktail" will be presented on Wednesday, January 23, at 8 p.m. at JCC CenterStage, 1200 Edgewood Avenue. $20 general, $18 JCC members, and $15 students. 461-2000;
