Documentary
Artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude are known for their large-scale, site-specific artworks. But they embarked on one of their most ambitious projects yet in 1991: covering Japan and California with thousands of giant umbrellas. It was also the husband-and-wife team's most ill-fated endeavor, resulting in several deaths before its conclusion. This documentary follows the eccentric artists as they fight to realize their vision, battling both government officials and nature itself.
Director: Henry Corra, Grahame Weinbren and Albert Maysles
