Hello I'm for one want's to applaud you for this article. But it only scratch the surface of the issue. I should know because I was a victim for 5 year in a 10 year relationship. It's hard to truly understand abuse when you never been a victim, and to be able to sit back year's later and truly understand what it was all about. I have a relationship with God and thru pastor and reading the bible and talking to people close to me I truly know. The control he hade over me is where it started and to gain control he had to instill FEAR. Not just movie threater or scare you. True fear, I used to hear on talk show's the question was always why didn't you learve? I love him. Wrong; in my case it was love never was in the relationship. Fear, control, isolation, threat's etc. I know the topic is scar's and being able to obtain a restraining order getting help. That's all good but it goes so much deeper. I'm not a phychiatist but I lived it.
