Mount Hope Cemetery is a collection of hills and glens left behind by the last ice sheets that once covered the area. But there is more to the geological make-up of the Cemetery than just holes and hills: the stone used to make the markers and monuments tell their own tale about New York State going back more than 400 million years. Join us for a walking tour to explore the unique landscape and geologic history of New York as depicted in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Tour guide: Dr. Rory Cottrell, U of R research scientist and geologist.
