The exhibit is inspired by a kinship with each other and with nature. Raphaela’s three-dimensional vessels created from abaca pulp, incorporate weaving, coiling, driftwood, wire, seed pods and other detritus. In Jean’s two dimensional drawings and paintings, she explores the juxtaposition of what nature and man leave behind.
The diverse techniques of these two creative women come together in a compatible, harmonious way, expressing their spiritual connection to nature, their art and each other.
