Auditions for Screen Plays "Women without Men" by Hazel Ellis and directed by Karen Dieruf. Roles available for 11 women of all ages. Setting - 1937 in the Republic of Ireland, where Catholicism, the majority religion, has been legislated and the undertones of paternalism have become overtones. This play set off Ellis distinctive voice as a chronicler of Dublin women-chafed by the tensions of the school, as well as an increasingly conservative Irish society.
