In this class you will learn one of the oldest forms of printmaking-Woodblock Carving; a relief method, where wood is carved away to create an image. Students will watch demonstrations on each step--Creating an image, transferring the image to a wood block, carving and hand printing. You will then create your own wood block, carve it out and print. Please note: All of the class supplies will be provided for you- wood blocks, carving tools, paper and ink.
