Mark Landis is one of the most prolific art forgers in US history. He has passed off fake classic artwork to the Smithsonian, School of Art Institute of Chicago, and the Bostonian Society to name a few. For 30 years, Landis has forged everything from Picassos to works by Walt Disney. But perhaps most remarkable about this story, he has never charged institutions a dime for what they perceive to be priceless works of art. Despite that fact, there is one man who doggedly pursues Landis, getting closer and closer in the film.
